‘Don’t Hire Indians’: Trump’s Order to Google and Microsoft

Washington, 24 July – (www.deccanlive.com): On Wednesday (July 23), during an AI summit in Washington, US President Donald Trump ordered major tech companies like Google and Microsoft to stop hiring in India and instead focus on creating jobs in the United States.

Trump said that American companies should end overseas hiring and work on generating more employment for Americans. He criticized these companies for investing in foreign countries like India and China while benefiting from the freedom and opportunities provided by the US.

According to Trump, American companies are creating jobs in India and building facilities in China, while also making profits in countries like Ireland, which, he claimed, is unfair to the American workforce.

He emphasized that technology companies must prioritize America and keep the US ahead in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He urged companies to show “true patriotism” by investing in the US and leading globally in AI development.

During the summit, Trump also signed three executive orders related to Artificial Intelligence, reinforcing his vision for keeping America first in the AI race.
