Telangana Delegation Meets Indian Consul General in Jeddah Over Deadly Madinah Bus Accident

A high-level team from the Telangana government, led by Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, met India’s Consul General in Jeddah, Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, on Tuesday morning to discuss support for victims of a tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia.
The meeting took place at 8 am in Jeddah. Along with Minister Azharuddin, MLA Majid Hussain and Minorities Welfare Secretary B Shafiullah were also present.
The delegation visited the Consul General following Monday’s heartbreaking bus crash near Madinah, in which 45 Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana lost their lives.
The team discussed details of the accident, ongoing rescue and relief efforts, and the assistance being provided to the bereaved families back home.
Officials assured the delegation that all necessary formalities for the Indian pilgrims who died in the crash are being completed on priority, and full support will be extended to the affected families.
