Telangana: Student Attempts Suicide Due to Alleged Teacher Harassment

Hyderabad, 4 March – (www.deccanlive.com): In Telangana’s Vikarabad district, a 10th-grade student attempted suicide after allegedly being harassed by a teacher.

The incident came to light late, sparking anger among parents and student organizations.

According to reports, a student named Tabitha from Kothagadi Gurukul School was repeatedly harassed by a teacher. Distressed by the situation, she jumped from the first floor of the school building, resulting in a fracture in her left leg.

The school administration immediately took her to a private hospital and informed her father.

Later, the girl’s parents confronted the teachers at the school, demanding answers.

Student organizations also protested at the school, demanding the immediate suspension of the accused teacher.
