The Al-Mahad Ul-Aali Al-Islami (The Islamic Higher Institute) in Hyderabad will host a three-day national seminar titled “Muslims’ Contribution to India’s Development” from November 21 to 23, 2025.

A preparatory meeting for the event was held on October 29 at the institute’s headquarters under the chairmanship of Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, who highlighted the objectives of the seminar.

Speaking at the meeting, Maulana Rahmani said that there has long been a false narrative that Muslims have taken from the country but given nothing in return. He clarified that Muslims have, in fact, made major contributions in fields such as education, healthcare, trade, industry, agriculture, construction, and textiles, benefiting the nation for centuries.

The upcoming seminar aims to showcase these contributions through research papers and address misconceptions about the Muslim community. Over 60 research papers will be presented by both Muslim and non-Muslim scholars. The seminar proceedings will be published in Urdu and Hindi during the event, with an English edition to follow soon after.

On the final day, a public gathering will be held at the Hockey Ground, Mansab Tank, after Maghrib prayers, featuring speeches by prominent scholars, intellectuals, and leaders from across India.

The Reception Committee for the seminar has already been formed, with Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani as the Chief Patron, Mr. Abdul Latif (MS), Dr. Abdul Qadeer (Shaheen Group), Mr. Ziauddin Nair, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, and Maulana Hafiz Ghouse Rashidi as patrons. Mr. Khaleel will serve as President, Maulana Muhammad Umar Abideen Qasmi Madani as General Secretary, and Maulana Muhammad Mehboob Alam Qasmi as Assistant General Secretary.

During the meeting, members reviewed the progress of preparations and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing work. Several new suggestions were presented and will be implemented promptly.
