Former Indian cricket team captain and senior Congress leader Mohammad Azharuddin is all set to take oath as a minister in the Telangana Cabinet on October 31. His journey from the cricket field to the corridors of politics is being seen as a new milestone in his public life.

Azharuddin has been nominated to the Telangana Legislative Council (MLC) under the Governor’s quota, paving the way for his induction into the cabinet.
