Telangana DGP Visits Brave Muslim Youth Asif in Hospital, Recommends Gallantry Medal for His Courage

Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Shivdhar Reddy visited Asif, a young Muslim man from Nizamabad, who was injured while helping the police capture Sheikh Riyaz, the accused in the murder of constable Pramod.

According to police, Asif showed exceptional bravery during the operation by risking his own life to assist officers in apprehending Riyaz. During the confrontation, Riyaz attacked and severely injured Asif before being shot dead in an encounter.

Asif is currently undergoing treatment at Malla Reddy Hospital in Nampally, Hyderabad. On Monday, DGP Shivdhar Reddy, along with Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar and other senior officers, visited the hospital to check on Asif’s condition.

Speaking to doctors, the DGP was informed that Asif’s health is stable and his hand is recovering well after surgery. He assured that the Telangana government will bear all medical expenses for Asif’s treatment.

DGP Reddy also praised Asif’s heroism and announced that he would recommend his name for a Gallantry Medal in recognition of his courage and public service.

Meanwhile, Asif’s bravery has become a major topic on social media, where users are applauding his selfless act and calling on the government to reward him with a government job and monetary award.
