A wave of grief has spread across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as news broke of the passing of Maulana Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed, President of Jamiat Ulama Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The renowned Islamic scholar breathed his last on Sunday morning after Fajr (dawn) prayers.
Maulana Shabbir Ahmed was widely respected for his religious, educational, and social contributions. His death is being seen as an irreparable loss to the Muslim community and its leadership in the state.

Funeral Details
According to his son, Hafiz Peer Khaleeq Ahmed, the funeral prayer (Namaz-e-Janaza) will be held today, Sunday, October 19, after Asr prayers at 4:45 PM in Jamia Masjid Kanzul Uloom, Shaheen Nagar. The burial will take place at Masjid-e-Quba, Musheerabad (Risala Khursheed Jahi).
Legacy Continues
Maulana’s family members are also active in social and political fields. His son Peer Irshad Ahmed Nasir serves as a senior leader and national convenor of Youth Congress, while another son, Peer Muneer Jabbar, is also an active leader in Hyderabad Youth Congress.
