Palestine Belongs to Palestinians, Not Anyone’s Property: Pakistan Rejects Trump’s Plan

Islamabad, 7 February (DeccanLive.com): Pakistan has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to take over Gaza, a war-torn Palestinian territory, and forcibly displace Palestinians. The Pakistani government stated that Palestinian land, including Gaza, belongs only to the Palestinian people and is not anyone else’s property. Pakistan reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, as outlined in United Nations resolutions, and vowed to continue efforts for Palestine’s freedom on all international platforms.

During a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said that forcing Palestinians out of their land is deeply concerning. He emphasized that “Palestine belongs to Palestinians,” and Pakistan supports an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. Pakistan also called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and urged for the uninterrupted supply of humanitarian aid to the region.

He added that Pakistan condemns Israel’s violations of ceasefire agreements and considers blocking relief efforts a breach of these agreements. The international community was urged to break its silence on Israeli atrocities and ensure compliance with the ceasefire agreements.
