Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar has launched India’s first AI-based complaint recorder app called “AI Cop Writer” in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the launch event, Sajjanar said the app allows people to register complaints in more than 10 languages. The application can instantly convert spoken complaints into text and also translate them into different languages.

He explained that the complaint details will be automatically saved in PDF format, making the process faster and more organized for police officials.

According to the police department, the app is expected to provide major relief to migrant workers, tourists, women, and senior citizens who often face language barriers while filing complaints at police stations.

Sajjanar said the main aim of introducing AI technology is to ensure that language does not become a hurdle in getting justice. He added that the app will initially be introduced in more than 80 police stations across Hyderabad.

Officials believe the AI-powered system will help speed up the FIR registration process and improve accuracy in recording complaints.

The app was developed with the support of BlueCloud SoftTech Solutions.
