Fight Over Alcohol Turns Deadly: Man Stabs Bar Worker to Death in Kerala

Thrissur, 22 July – (www.deccanlive.com): A small argument in a bar turned into a tragic murder in Kerala on Sunday. According to police reports, a 62-year-old bar employee named Hemachandran was stabbed to death by a man named Sijo over a dispute related to food served with alcohol.

Hemachandran, a resident of Nelluvai in Thrissur district, was working at a bar. Sijo, who belongs to Alakkappanagar in Amballur, had come to the bar to drink alcohol. While drinking, he got into an argument with the staff because he wanted tuna fish pickle (a type of side dish). This led to a heated verbal fight between Sijo and Hemachandran.

Due to the argument, Hemachandran pushed Sijo out of the bar. Angry and seeking revenge, Sijo waited outside the bar until it closed. Around 11:30 PM, when Hemachandran stepped out to drink tea, Sijo attacked him with a knife and ran away.

Other staff members rushed Hemachandran to the hospital, but doctors confirmed that he had already died.
