Swords Waved, Slogans Chanted Outside Mosque in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 20 February – (www.deccanlive.com): Tension rose in Nacharam Mallapur, Hyderabad, on Wednesday night when a group of people waved swords and raised slogans in front of a mosque.

The incident took place outside Masjid-e-Aashraf in Chankyapuri Colony, near the Nacharam police station. In a video, 12 to 15 people, including two carrying swords, were seen holding saffron flags and shouting slogans in front of the mosque while some worshippers were praying inside.

The group was reportedly returning from a Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti procession. The incident appeared to be a deliberate attempt to provoke communal tension. A few people recorded the event and shared the video on social media, urging the police to take action.
