Raja Singh Slams BJP on Selection of Telangana Unit President
Hyderabad, 22 March – (www.deccanlive.com): Controversial BJP Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh has once again made strong comments about his own party leaders. He stated that a new BJP president will soon be appointed for Telangana. However, he questioned whether the State Committee or the National Leadership would make this decision.
“If the State Committee chooses the new president, he will be just a rubber stamp. It would be better if the National Committee makes the decision,” Raja Singh said.
He criticized past BJP presidents, saying they formed groups within the party, which led to damage. He warned that if the new president follows the same group politics, it will harm the party. He also claimed that good leaders within the party have been restricted and not given the freedom to work.
Raja Singh suggested that if senior leaders are given freedom, BJP can form a government in Telangana. He advised the new BJP president not to hold secret meetings with the Chief Minister.
He also expressed disappointment that the BJP is not recognizing senior leaders and is not giving them nominated posts. Raja Singh mentioned that some leaders told him not to speak to the media, but he decided to express his views publicly because the party leadership was not listening.
