Telangana: Dharmapuri Municipal Commissioner Caught Taking ₹20,000 Bribe

Jagtial, 7 March – (www.deccanlive.com): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Dharmpuri Municipal Commissioner, Kandukuri Srinivas, on Thursday while taking a ₹20,000 bribe from an outsourced employee.

According to ACB, the complainant, Paidipally Mahesh, was working in the Urban Environmental Engineering Department on an outsourcing basis.

Mahesh was receiving his salary regularly, but for the last six months, his salary was stopped. Commissioner Srinivas allegedly demanded ₹30,000 to release the pending payment.

Mahesh had already paid ₹10,000, but when Srinivas demanded more, he reported the matter to ACB, leading to Srinivas’s arrest while accepting a ₹20,000 bribe.
