Income Tax Raids on Popular Hyderabad Hotels Shah Ghouse, Pista House and Mehfil

Income Tax officials conducted major raids on three of Hyderabad’s most famous hotel chains — Shah Ghouse, Pista House and Mehfil — early on Tuesday. The searches were carried out at the hotels’ offices as well as the homes of key management members.
According to initial information, around 50 Income Tax teams inspected nearly 15 locations across the city. Officials said the raids were linked to suspected financial irregularities and unreported income.
These hotel chains handle business worth hundreds of crores every year and have branches not only in Hyderabad but also in Dubai and several other Indian cities. Their rapid expansion and high turnover reportedly brought them under the scanner.
The Income Tax Department has not released further details yet, but sources say the main purpose of the operation is to check financial records and verify tax compliance.
Shah Ghouse, Pista House and Mehfil are among the most popular food brands in Hyderabad, known widely for their quality, taste and long-standing reputation in the city’s food industry.
