Beed, 30 March – (www.deccanlive.com): A shocking incident took place in Beed district of Maharashtra early this morning when unidentified miscreants attempted to blow up a mosque using explosives.

According to police reports, the explosion occurred around 3 AM in Ardha Masala village, Jiwrai Tehsil. The accused allegedly used gelatin sticks to carry out the blast inside the mosque. While no injuries were reported, the explosion caused significant damage to the mosque’s interior structure.

Following the incident, police arrested two individuals identified as Vijay Rama Gawhane and Shriram Ashok Sagare, both residents of Jiwrai in Beed.

The blast triggered tensions in the village, with local Muslims expressing outrage and demanding strict action against the culprits. To maintain peace, authorities have deployed heavy security in the area.

Officials confirmed that one of the accused entered the mosque after midnight and planted gelatin sticks to detonate the explosion. Upon hearing the blast, local residents immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene along with senior officials.

Law enforcement authorities have registered a case against the accused and assured that strict action will be taken as per the law.

A local resident stated that the attackers deliberately attempted to destroy the mosque using explosives, sparking anger and concern within the community.
