“If Trump Can Do It, Why Can’t You?”: Asaduddin Owaisi Targets PM Modi Over Mumbai Terror Plotters

All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi has made a strong political statement targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to act firmly against those accused of planning terror attacks on Mumbai.
Speaking at a public event after reports about the arrest of Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro, Owaisi said the Indian government should bring back those responsible for plotting attacks on Mumbai, even if they are hiding in Pakistan. He mentioned names like Masood Azhar and members of terror groups, and challenged the Prime Minister to take action.
Owaisi said that if former US President Donald Trump could use military power to arrest another country’s leader and bring him to the US, then India should also show similar strength. In a sarcastic tone, he asked, “If Trump can do it, are you any less?”
He also referred to military actions by other countries, including Saudi Arabia’s operations in Yemen, and questioned why India should hold back when others use force.
Following his remarks, the statement went viral on social media and received mixed reactions. Some users called it a political stunt aimed at pressuring the Modi government, while others felt Owaisi was speaking more openly than many so-called nationalist leaders.
Several analysts pointed out that Pakistan is a nuclear-armed country and such actions are not simple or practical. Some social media users said India believes in justice through law, diplomacy, and international pressure, not by copying extreme use of force.
