Indian Army Jobs 2026: Notification Released for SSC Tech Posts, Applications Open from January 6

The Indian Army has released a short notification for recruitment under the 67th Short Service Commission (SSC – Technical) course. The online application process will begin on January 6, 2026.
Through this recruitment drive, the Army plans to fill 30 SSC (Technical) posts. Both men and women candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply.
Candidates must have completed a BE or BTech degree in an AICTE-approved engineering discipline. Eligible branches include Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Industrial, Automobile, Aerospace, Avionics, Mining, Chemical, Textile, Biotechnology, and related fields.
Applicants should be between 20 and 27 years of age as on October 1, 2026. The last date to apply online is February 5, 2026.
Candidates selected for the post will undergo pre-commission training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA). The training will last for 49 weeks, from October 2026 to September 2027. During training, candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹50,100.
The Indian Army has stated that full details regarding physical standards, selection process, salary, interview centers, and application procedure will be shared soon in the detailed notification.
