Bengaluru: Mother Arrested for Allegedly Killing Her Daughter for Her Lover

A shocking case has emerged from Bengaluru, where a woman is accused of killing her six-year-old daughter allegedly to continue her relationship with her lover. Police have launched a search operation for the woman, while her boyfriend has already been arrested.
According to police, Priyanka and Praveen, residents originally from Davanagere, were married 17 years ago and have two children-a 15-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter named Venila.
While living in Kadugodi, Priyanka reportedly reconnected with her childhood friend Mohan and entered into an extramarital relationship with him about two years ago. When Praveen learned about the affair and objected, Priyanka allegedly left her husband, leaving their son behind, and started living with Mohan.
Three months ago, Priyanka informed Praveen over the phone that their daughter had died. She also provided him with a postmortem report that claimed the child died due to health-related complications.
However, Praveen later shared the report with a doctor friend living abroad. After reviewing the document, the doctor reportedly found several inconsistencies and suggested that the child may not have died from natural causes. He suspected foul play and advised Praveen to approach the police.
Based on the complaint, Kadugodi police launched an investigation. By the time officers moved into action, Priyanka had reportedly fled. Her boyfriend Mohan was arrested for allegedly helping in the crime.
Police have also registered a case against the hospital that issued the postmortem report and are investigating whether any false documents were prepared to hide the crime.
The search for Priyanka is continuing, and further investigations are underway.
