Three members of a Palestinian family, including a baby, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza early Sunday morning, according to local reports.

Sources said Israeli warplanes targeted a residential apartment in the camp, leading to the deaths of 38-year-old Mohammed Ibrahim Abu Malouh, his 36-year-old wife Alaa Majdi Zaqlan, and their one-year-old son Osama. Several other Palestinians were also injured in the attack.

In another incident, Israeli airstrikes reportedly targeted the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, causing massive fires and damage to areas surrounding Yafa Hospital.

Reports also said Israeli forces carried out explosions and demolition operations in northeastern areas of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Heavy artillery shelling was also reported in eastern parts of Gaza City.

Witnesses stated that Israeli military vehicles and tanks opened fire in eastern Khan Younis and near the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

The ongoing conflict has continued despite previous ceasefire efforts, with repeated airstrikes, shelling, and destruction reported across different parts of the Gaza Strip. Restrictions on aid delivery, trade, and movement also remain in place.

According to figures released by the Palestinian Health Ministry, around 900 Palestinians have been killed and 2,677 injured since the ceasefire period began last October. Officials also said that hundreds of bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.

Since the war began on October 7, 2023, the total death toll in Gaza has reportedly risen to nearly 72,793, while more than 172,779 people have been injured.
