Severe Heatwave Grips Telugu States, Piduguralla Records 47.6°C and Nirmal Hits 46.5°C

The scorching summer heat continues to trouble people across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with temperatures reaching dangerous levels in several districts.

According to officials, temperatures crossed 46°C in 19 districts of Telangana and more than 45°C in 11 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

The highest temperature in Andhra Pradesh was recorded in Piduguralla at 47.6°C. In Telangana, Nirmal recorded the highest temperature at 46.5°C.

Other high temperatures recorded in Andhra Pradesh include 46.1°C in Kankipadu in Krishna district and Nandanamarella in Markapur region, while Tanuku recorded 46°C.

In Telangana, Hanamkonda recorded 46.4°C, Jagtial saw 46.3°C, and Adilabad recorded 46.2°C.

The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority has warned that heatwave conditions are likely to become even more severe over the next four days. People have been advised to avoid stepping out during afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
