A tragic honour killing has been reported in Patancheru. An engineering student named Shiva was brutally murdered after being called to the girl’s house with the promise of marriage. Police say that a love affair between the two was the main reason behind this horrific incident.
According to the police, Shiva and a young woman from the same area had been in a relationship for several months. However, the girl’s family strongly opposed their relationship. When they came to know about the affair, they allegedly became angry and planned to eliminate the boy.
Called home with a false promise
Police revealed that the girl’s family made a plan and told Shiva that they had agreed to the marriage and asked him to come home. Believing their words, Shiva went to the girl’s house. As soon as he reached, the family members attacked him. They reportedly beat him with cricket bats, causing severe injuries. Shiva collapsed on the spot and died due to the brutal assault.
The incident created shock and tension in the area.
Police begin investigation
Patancheru Police reached the location immediately after receiving information. Shiva’s body was shifted for post-mortem. A case has been registered against the girl’s family members, and the investigation is underway, focusing on honour killing angles.
Locals demand strict action
Locals expressed anger over the incident. They demanded strict punishment for the family members who took the young man’s life in the name of honour.
