Woman Arrested After Jewellery Theft, Boyfriend Escapes With Stolen Gold in Udaipur

A shocking theft case from Gujarat has taken an unexpected turn after a woman accused of stealing jewellery worth nearly ₹1.5 crore was allegedly cheated by her own boyfriend.
According to reports, the woman, identified as Harshada Shetty, was working at a jewellery shop in Gujarat. During her time there, she reportedly fell in love with a married man.
Police said Harshada allegedly stole jewellery worth around ₹1.5 crore from the shop and later fled to Udaipur with her boyfriend. The couple reportedly checked into a hotel in the city.
However, the situation took a dramatic turn when Harshada went to take a bath in the hotel room. During that time, her boyfriend allegedly escaped with all the stolen jewellery and disappeared.
After the incident, police traced and arrested Harshada, while efforts are currently underway to locate the absconding man and recover the stolen valuables.
Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
