Gaza Genocide: Little Girl in Beit Hanoun Dies of Hunger

Gaza, 7 August – (www.deccanlive.com): A heartbreaking tragedy has occurred in northern Gaza. A little girl named Alma Jihad Nasser, from the town of Beit Hanoun, has died due to severe hunger and lack of nutrition. The area is under a deadly siege imposed by Israel, where food and medical supplies have been completely cut off for months.

According to medical sources, Alma’s health deteriorated rapidly and she passed away due to extreme malnutrition. Her death is a painful reminder of the ongoing humanitarian disaster in Gaza, especially affecting innocent children.

The Gaza Ministry of Health confirmed that in the past 24 hours, five more Palestinians have died due to hunger and food shortages. This includes several children. With these new deaths, the total number of people who have died from hunger has now reached 193, including 96 children.

Disturbing images and videos are emerging from different areas of Gaza, showing children reduced to skin and bones. The famine has become so severe that people are collapsing on the streets due to weakness and exhaustion. Many hospitals and emergency centers are full of starving and malnourished children who are barely alive. Their bodies are dried out, faces pale, and eyes filled with pain and fear.

The Health Ministry has issued a strong warning that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is now beyond description. The continued Israeli blockade, and over 140 days of zero food or medical aid, have put the lives of over two million Palestinians in serious danger.

In March 2025, Israel shut down all entry points into Gaza. Since then, no food, fuel, medicine, or humanitarian assistance has been allowed into the region. This is being seen as a part of a larger plan of ethnic cleansing that Israel has been carrying out for over 21 months, aiming to erase the Palestinian population completely.

The death of Alma Jihad Nasser raises a painful question for the whole world: Is the slow death of innocent children from hunger not enough to wake up the global conscience? How many more lives must be lost before the world takes action?

The Palestine Information Center is calling on human rights organizations, free nations, and people of conscience around the world to act now. The genocide and collective punishment must end before an entire generation is wiped out by bombs, hunger, and thirst.
