Even after the conclusion of IPL 2026, one name continues to dominate cricket discussions across the country – Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals batting sensation made history by becoming the first player to win five individual awards in a single IPL season.

Five Major Awards in One Season

Vaibhav finished as the highest run-scorer of IPL 2026 with 776 runs and won the prestigious Orange Cap along with a cash prize of ₹10 lakh.

He was also named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), receiving a trophy and a cash reward of ₹15 lakh for his overall contribution throughout the season.

The young batter further added the Emerging Player of the Season award to his collection, earning another trophy and ₹10 lakh in prize money.

For hitting the highest number of sixes in the tournament, he received the Super Sixes Award. Suryavanshi smashed an incredible 72 sixes during the season, setting a new IPL record.

He also won the Super Striker of the Season award for maintaining the most destructive strike rate in the tournament. As part of the award, he was presented with a Tata Sierra car.

Record-Breaking Season

Although Rajasthan Royals fell short of winning the IPL title, Vaibhav’s individual achievements became one of the biggest highlights of the season.

His tally of 72 sixes broke the previous IPL record of 59 sixes in a season, held by legendary West Indies batter Chris Gayle.

Vaibhav also became the highest run-scoring uncapped player in a single IPL season. In addition, he set records for becoming the youngest batter and the fastest player in terms of balls faced to reach 1,000 IPL runs.

His fearless batting style and record-breaking performances have made him one of the most exciting young talents in world cricket.
