A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Kamareddy district in Telangana, where a father allegedly killed his three young daughters by drowning them in a pond. The incident has left the local community in shock.

According to police, the accused Ismail, an auto driver by profession, was under severe financial pressure due to heavy debts. His wife Sabina works as a daily wage laborer to help support the family.

The couple had three daughters — Safat (8), Ayat (7), and Maryam (5) — who were the only children in the family.

How the Incident Came to Light

Police said the incident occurred when the children’s mother had gone out for work. When she returned home in the evening, neighbors told her that the children were missing.

When Sabina asked her husband about the girls, he reportedly gave different and confusing answers. Growing suspicious, she approached the police and filed a complaint.

During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage from the area and saw the children leaving with their father. When questioned further, Ismail’s statements did not match the evidence.

After intense interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed that he had taken the girls to a pond in Kamareddy and pushed them into the water, causing them to drown.

Police later recovered the bodies of the three children from the pond.

Financial Stress Behind the Crime

According to preliminary investigation, Ismail was under the burden of nearly ₹5 lakh in debt and feared he would not be able to raise his daughters properly due to financial difficulties.

Some reports also suggest that he had a drinking habit, which worsened the family’s financial condition.

Police Action

Police have taken the accused into custody and registered a case. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.

The tragic deaths of the three young sisters have deeply saddened residents of the area, especially as the incident occurred during the holy month of Ramadan, a time associated with compassion, charity, and helping those in need.
