Indian and Bangladeshi Workers Killed After Missile Hits Residential Area Near Riyadh

A tragic incident occurred near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where a military projectile struck a building belonging to a private maintenance and cleaning company, leaving two foreign workers dead and at least 12 others injured.

According to Saudi Civil Defense, the incident took place in the Al-Kharj area near Riyadh. The victims included one Indian citizen and one Bangladeshi citizen, while the injured were reportedly Bangladeshi workers.

All the injured workers were immediately taken to nearby hospitals, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Rescue Teams Respond Quickly

Authorities said that emergency teams, firefighters, and medical staff rushed to the scene soon after the incident and began rescue operations.

Most of the people working in the affected building were foreign laborers involved in maintenance and cleaning work. The explosion caused damage to a part of the building and created panic in the surrounding area.

Investigation Underway

Initial reports suggest that the projectile may have fallen in the area due to nearby military activity or a missile-related incident. However, officials said a full investigation is underway to determine exactly where the projectile came from and how it hit the building.

Saudi Civil Defense said the situation is now under control and there is no further danger reported in the area. Authorities have also moved other workers from the company to safer locations.

Diplomatic sources from India and Bangladesh are closely monitoring the situation and gathering information about their citizens affected by the incident.

The tragedy comes at a time when security concerns are rising in parts of the Middle East due to increasing regional tensions.
