Hyderabad Water Supply Alert: Drinking Water to Be Disrupted for 18 Hours in Several Areas

Hyderabad residents have been put on alert as the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has announced a temporary disruption in drinking water supply in several parts of the city.
According to the official announcement released on Tuesday, water supply will be affected for about 18 hours due to emergency repair works on a major pipeline supplying water to Hyderabad.
The disruption is due to urgent repairs to a 1600 mm diameter Phase-3 main pipeline between Peddapur and Singur, which supplies drinking water from the Singur project. In addition, TS Transco will carry out testing, maintenance, and repair works at the 132 KV Kandi substation linked to the Peddapur feeder.

HMWSSB has requested residents in the affected areas to store water in advance and use it carefully during the disruption period. Normal water supply will be restored after the completion of repair and maintenance works.
