Telangana Government to Release Notification Soon for 14,000 Police Constable Jobs

The Telangana government is preparing a New Year gift for unemployed youth in the state. In a major announcement, DGP Shivadhar Reddy said that a notification will be released soon to fill around 14,000 Stipendiary Cadet Constable posts, along with other vacancies in the police department.
As unemployment continues to rise, thousands of students complete their degrees every year but struggle to find suitable jobs. Keeping this in mind, the government has decided to fill long-pending vacancies across departments, with a major focus on the police force.
DGP Makes Key Announcement
Speaking to journalists at the DGP office in Hyderabad, Shivadhar Reddy said that proposals for large-scale recruitment in the police department are already ready. He added that the official notification may be announced soon as a New Year benefit for job seekers.
Police Recruitment After Delay
Since the formation of Telangana state, police recruitment has taken place three times. However, recruitment has slowed down since 2023, leading to growing pressure from unemployed youth. At the same time, many police personnel retire every year, increasing the workload on existing staff due to lack of new appointments.
To reduce this burden and improve efficiency in the police force, the government has decided to fill vacant posts without further delay. Officials confirmed that preparations are complete and the recruitment notification will be issued shortly.
