Google and Telangana Govt Launch India’s First ‘Google for Startups Hub’ in Hyderabad

Google and the Telangana government have jointly launched the Google for Startups Hub at T-Hub in Hyderabad. This is the first centre of its kind in India and aims to strengthen the fast-growing startup and innovation ecosystem in the state. The hub will offer top-class resources, expert guidance, and global networking opportunities for regional innovators.
What Will the Hub Do?
The new centre will focus mainly on AI-first startups in Telangana. Selected startups will get:
- Free co-working space for one year
- Mentorship from Google experts
- Access to venture investors
- Support to build responsible AI-based businesses
- Guidance on product development and user experience
- Access to global markets
- Community events and market link programs
The hub will also encourage women entrepreneurs, innovators from Tier-2 cities, and university talent by giving them special support.
A Major Milestone for Telangana
The launch event was attended by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy as the chief guest and IT & Industries Minister Sridhar Babu as the guest of honour.
Speaking at the event, CM Revanth Reddy said:
“This is a big step towards making Telangana a global innovation centre. The Google hub will offer world-class guidance, technology support, and market access for ideas developed in Hyderabad.”
Google India’s Statement
Google India Country Manager Preeti Lohbana said that Google is committed to supporting Telangana’s startup ecosystem.
She added:
“From Google Cloud AI to Android, Play, Ads, and developer programs, we are offering full support to startups. This hub will help create responsible AI-based deep-tech solutions for India and the world.”
The centre is expected to significantly boost the startup landscape in Telangana and help local innovators reach global markets.
