Hyderabad / Ahmedabad | December 4, 2025 | DeccanLive.com
An Indigo flight coming from Madinah to Hyderabad made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday after airport authorities received an email warning that the aircraft would be blown up if it was allowed to land in Hyderabad.
The flight was carrying over 180 passengers and six crew members, most of whom were Hyderabadi Umrah pilgrims, according to sources.
Emergency Response
As soon as the threat was received, the flight was diverted and safely landed at an isolated bay in Ahmedabad.
Security teams, including the CISF and the bomb squad, immediately conducted a full inspection of the aircraft. The cabin, cargo hold, and baggage were thoroughly checked.
Officials confirmed that no suspicious item was found on board.
Passengers Safe
Deputy Police Commissioner Atul Bansal said that all safety procedures were completed and passengers were moved to a secure area.
“None of the passengers showed any suspicious behaviour,” he said.
Authorities will decide on allowing the flight to continue to Hyderabad only after receiving full security clearance.
Passengers remain safe, and further investigation is underway to trace the source of the threatening email.
