Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that the state government will soon fill another 40,000 government job vacancies. He made the announcement on Wednesday during a public meeting held after launching development works worth ₹262 crore in Husnabad constituency.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said Husnabad has a strong history of public movements. He recalled that leaders like Sardar Sarvai Papannagoud built their people’s army from this region, and the Telangana statehood movement also saw major support here.
Revanth Reddy said the Congress government fulfilled its promise by issuing 60,000 jobs in the first year of coming to power. He added that the government will complete the recruitment of one lakh jobs within the first two and a half years of its term.
CM Highlights Government Achievements
Revanth Reddy compared Congress-era projects with those built by the previous government.
He pointed out that:
- Agriculture in Telangana is strong, and the state produces the highest quantity of paddy in India.
- The government has proved that farming is not a burden but a celebration.
- More than ₹1 lakh crore has been spent for the welfare of farmers.
- Many young women have become owners of new RTC buses.
- 3.10 crore beneficiaries are receiving fine rice distribution.
- ₹22,500 crore is being spent on the construction of houses for the poor.
He also said that while many major projects in Gajwel, Siddipet and Sircilla have been completed, the Gourelli project in Husnabad is still pending.
“We will not neglect Husnabad like previous governments. The Gourelli project will be completed soon,” the CM assured.
State ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Vivek Venkatswamy, Sridhar Babu and others attended the meeting.
