Telangana 2015 Group-2 Rankers Get Relief from High Court

The Telangana High Court has given major relief to candidates who qualified in the 2015 Group-2 exams. The Chief Justice’s Bench has suspended the Single Bench order that recently cancelled the entire recruitment process.
The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) challenged the Single Bench verdict before the Division Bench. After hearing the petition, the High Court issued interim orders in favour of the rankers.
Background of the Case
A few weeks ago, the Single Bench of the High Court delivered a shocking judgment, cancelling the 2015–16 Group-2 selection list. The court said the evaluation process violated the Technical Committee’s recommendations, pointing out issues such as:
- Double bubbling
- Use of whitener
- Erased or tampered answers in Part-B papers
- Re-evaluation done against guidelines
The court also said TGPSC has no authority to ignore the Technical Committee’s rules or High Court directions.
The Single Bench had declared that:
- The answer scripts showed visible tampering
- TGPSC failed to reject such questionable papers
- The 2019 revised results were one-sided and illegal
It then cancelled the results and ordered the Commission to re-evaluate the answer sheets again, prepare a fresh list of eligible candidates, and complete the process within 8 weeks.
Current Relief
With the Division Bench now suspending that order, the 2015 Group-2 rankers have received temporary relief while the case continues.
Further hearing and final decisions will follow as the High Court reviews the matter in detail.
