A shooting incident took place near the White House, leaving two U.S. soldiers seriously injured. Police quickly responded and arrested the suspect, who was also found in a critical condition. Former President Donald Trump reacted strongly, calling the attackers “not humans but animals.” He said the suspect would face severe punishment and claimed that the attacker had entered the U.S. from Afghanistan. Trump added that the Trump administration failed to stop him in 2021.

U.S. media identified the suspect as Rahmanullah, an Afghan national.

He added that the incident is being treated as a national security issue, and multiple agencies are investigating.

According to the Police Chief, the attacker in custody is the only suspect at this time, and his condition remains serious.

Leaders from the Democratic Party also condemned the attack, stating that there is no place for violence in the United States.
