The forum appreciated the timely response of Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi, President of AIMIM and MP of Hyderabad, for taking up the matter with the Ministry of External Affairs. They also praised the Telangana government for setting up a control room, offering support to the families, and sending a delegation led by the Minority Welfare Minister to Saudi Arabia.

The forum welcomed the state cabinet’s decisions, including the release of ex-gratia compensation, sending officials to Medinahh, and offering necessary help to the relatives of the victims. The United Muslim Forum further demanded the creation of a separate government department or ministry for the welfare of Haj and Umrah pilgrims as well as Indian migrant workers, since a large number of people from Telangana and Hyderabad reside in Gulf countries. They suggested that Telangana should establish a system similar to the one followed in Kerala for managing pilgrim travel and migrant issues.

The forum ended the statement by praying for the departed souls and advising the families of the victims to stay strong during this difficult time.
