Speeding Container Truck Kills Three in Nellore, Including Father and Son

Tragedy struck near NTR Nagar in Nellore district on Tuesday when a speeding mini-container truck turned into a death machine, killing three people and injuring five others.
According to police, the truck was returning from Sullurupeta in Tirupati district after unloading a fish consignment when the driver lost control near SVG College Grounds on the Nellore Bypass Road. The container first hit a bike coming from the Green City side and then rammed into two more motorcycles before crashing into roadside shops and vendors.
The victims have been identified as A. Suresh (35), a real estate businessman from Allipuram Siri Garden, Shaikh Khaja Nazim Mohiuddin (70), a retired physical education teacher, and his son Shaikh Mujahid Ali (35), a Secretariat employee. All three died on the spot.
Among the injured were Manjula, who was selling corn nearby, Malakondayya, a coconut vendor, E. Anil, a lineman, and another person named Kotil, police said. Locals immediately alerted the police and ambulance services and helped move the injured to the hospital.
The container driver, identified as Shravan Kumar Yadav from Bihar, sustained minor injuries and reportedly escaped from the hospital after receiving first aid.
Nellore SP Ajitha Vejendla visited the scene and reviewed the situation. Minister Dr. Narayana, Sarapavalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, and Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Aziz expressed deep shock over the incident and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families.
