CPM Leader Samneni Rama Rao Brutally Murdered in Khammam District

A shocking incident took place in Khammam district, where CPM leader and former state secretary of the Rythu Sangham (Farmers’ Association), Samneni Rama Rao, was brutally murdered by unidentified assailants on Friday morning.
The incident occurred in Patharlapadu village of Chinthakani mandal, when Rama Rao went out for his routine morning walk. Reports suggest that the attackers stabbed him with knives, killing him on the spot.
Rama Rao was a well-known leader in the region, having served twice as the state secretary of the Rythu Sangham and also as the Sarpanch of Patharlapadu village.
Soon after the incident, Khammam Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt reached the scene, examined the area, and spoke to family members. CPM state committee members Pothineni Sudarshan and Ponnam Venkateswara Rao, along with several other party leaders, also visited the victim’s residence to offer their condolences.
In view of the tense situation, police have deployed heavy security in Patharlapadu village.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Condemns the Killing
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka expressed deep shock over the murder of Rama Rao. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family and said that there is no place for violent politics in Telangana. He assured that the culprits would be tracked down and punished as per law.
