The Telangana State Election Commission has started the process of special revision of the voter list across all 119 Assembly constituencies. The updated Electoral Roll (SIR 2002) has been made available on the official website — ceotelangana.nic.in — for public access.

Citizens can now easily check their names or their parents’ names in the list by searching through their Assembly constituency or polling station number.

According to officials, if a voter’s name or their parent’s name is already present in the SIR 2002 list, they do not need to submit any additional documents. However, new applicants or those missing from the list will be required to provide valid proof of date of birth and citizenship.

Voters Divided into Three Categories:

  1. Born before July 1, 1987: Must provide documents proving date of birth.
  2. Born between July 1, 1987 and December 2, 2004: Must provide proof of their parents’ (mother or father’s) date and place of birth.
  3. Born after December 2, 2004: Must submit both parents’ date and place of birth certificates.

As per Supreme Court guidelines, all voters must also confirm that they do not hold citizenship of any other country.
