IndiGo Air Hostess from Jammu Dies by Suicide in Hyderabad Apartment

In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old IndiGo Airlines air hostess from Jammu allegedly died by suicide at her apartment in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The incident, which occurred on October 24, came to light later, police said.
The deceased, identified as Jhanvi Gupta, was working as a cabin crew member with IndiGo Airlines. She was residing at Provident Kenworth Apartments in Shivrampally along with her friend.
According to police reports, on the night of October 24, Jhanvi and two colleagues, along with another friend, held a small get-together at her flat. After the party ended, everyone went to their respective rooms. Around 4 a.m., Jhanvi reportedly took her own life by hanging herself in her room.
The next morning, her friend tried to wake her up by knocking on the door, but there was no response. When she and others broke open the door, they found Jhanvi hanging from the ceiling fan.
Her friend immediately informed Jhanvi’s parents, who in turn contacted the police. The family told police that Jhanvi had been suffering from depression for some time.
Police have registered a case and are questioning her friends who attended the party to gather more information about the events leading up to her death. After conducting the post-mortem examination, police handed over Jhanvi’s body to her family.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances behind the young woman’s death.
