Bengaluru Police Scandal: DJ Halli Inspector, ASI Suspended Over Rape and Harassment Charges

In a shocking development, the city’s Police Commissioner, Seemanth Kumar Singh, has suspended DJ Halli Police Inspector Sunil and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Prakash following serious allegations of rape and sexual harassment made by a 36-year-old woman.
According to reports, the woman submitted a written complaint to the Director General of Police (DGP) alleging that Inspector Sunil had sexually assaulted her after promising to marry her at a sub-registrar’s office. She also accused him of recording photos and videos of her and threatening to kill her if she exposed the matter.
The complaint further stated that Sunil took the woman to a house and hotel near Eighth Mile, promising to buy her a house and help her start a beauty parlour, where he allegedly assaulted her.
The woman also accused ASI Prakash of sexual harassment. She claimed that Prakash, who learned about the incident, threatened her and said, “You cooperated with Sunil, why not with me?”
The case was registered at the Govindapura Police Station, and shortly after the FIR was filed, both officers were suspended pending investigation.
Sources revealed that the victim has also produced WhatsApp messages and other evidence to support her claims.
This incident has sparked widespread outrage, with citizens demanding strict action against police personnel involved in such crimes.
