The Telangana government has announced that the intermediate annual exams will be held earlier than usual this year, before March. The move aims to give second-year students more time to prepare for competitive exams like EAMCET and IIT. The government approved the proposals sent by the Inter Board on Thursday.
Traditionally held in the first week of March, the exams will now begin in the last week of February. According to the new schedule, first-year exams will start on February 25, while second-year exams will begin on February 26. Last year, these exams had started on March 5.
Officials said that the results will also be announced earlier, which will help teachers focus on the admission process for the next academic year in government junior colleges.
The government has also finalized the plan for practical exams, which will start in the last week of January and be completed across the state in three phases by the first week of February, ahead of the theory exams.
