Israeli Forces Kill 11 Members of a Palestinian Family in Gaza, Including 7 Children

Gaza | October 18, 2025 | CIP Media Report:

In yet another deadly attack, Israeli forces carried out a massacre in Gaza City’s eastern Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, killing 11 members of the Shaaban family, including 7 children and 2 women.

According to Gaza’s Civil Defense officials, the family was traveling in a civilian car when Israeli forces directly targeted it with heavy shelling. All passengers in the vehicle, who belonged to the same family, were killed instantly.

Civil Defense spokespersons said Israel could have chosen to issue a warning or use non-lethal methods, but instead deliberately opened fire, killing the entire family in cold blood. “This attack once again proves that Israel continues its campaign of bloodshed against innocent Palestinians,” the spokesperson added.

Ceasefire Violation

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas condemned the attack, calling it a “brutal massacre” and a blatant violation of the ongoing ceasefire agreement.

In a statement, Hamas said Israel has been repeatedly breaching the truce and that the killing of the Shaaban family is yet another example of its aggression. “This horrific crime is part of a long list of atrocities where Palestinian children and women remain direct targets of Israel’s war machine,” the group said.

Hamas urged the United States, mediator nations, and the international community to hold Israel accountable for its war crimes and compel it to respect the ceasefire agreement. The group also appealed to human rights organizations and international institutions to act immediately and bring Israeli leaders to justice for crimes against humanity.

Returning to a Destroyed Home

Local reports confirmed that the Shaaban family members were on their way to inspect the ruins of their destroyed house in Al-Zaytoun when their vehicle was struck by an Israeli tank shell, leaving no survivors.

This massacre has sparked fresh outrage across Gaza, highlighting the continuing humanitarian tragedy and raising urgent calls for global intervention.
