Israel to Halt Attacks for 10 Hours Daily in Three Gaza Areas to Allow Aid

Gaza, 27 July – (www.deccanlive.com): Under growing international pressure and rising fears of famine, Israel has announced a 10-hour daily pause in military operations in three areas of Gaza.
According to the Israeli military, the temporary halt will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (12:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. India time) in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Al-Mawasi. Specific routes will also remain open during this period to allow the movement of civilians and aid convoyse, beginning Sunday.
Israel claims that both air and ground aid deliveries have been made. However, UN agencies and humanitarian groups expressed doubts, calling the air drops insufficient and even dangerous for affected civilians.
UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini criticized the method, stating that air aid is costly, ineffective, and sometimes deadly.
Meanwhile, videos emerged showing trucks from Egypt via Rafah crossing and aid convoys from Jordan heading toward Gaza.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog welcomed the decision but blamed the UN and Hamas for worsening the food crisis, alleging aid mismanagement and misuse.
