Engineering Admissions 2025: Second Phase of EAPCET Counselling Begins Tomorrow
Hyderabad, 24 July – (www.deccanlive.com): The first phase of EAPCET engineering counselling has been completed. Out of 83,054 B.Tech seats under the convenor quota, 77,561 seats were allotted, but only 59,980 students paid the fee and completed online self-reporting. Around 17,581 students (22.66%) did not confirm their seats, likely because they were unhappy with the branches allotted or are waiting for seats in IITs, NITs, IIITs through JoSAA counselling.
Officials believe that some students skipped the process to opt for management quota seats, while others may be considering B.Sc programs as an alternative.
Second Phase Counselling Schedule:
- July 25: Slot booking for certificate verification
- July 26: Certificate verification
- July 26–27: Web options entry
- July 30: Seat allotment
This time, a large number of seats will be available in the second phase. In the first phase, 23,074 seats remained vacant, and nearly 5,000 additional seats in core branches like ECE, Civil, and Mechanical are likely to be added after approvals.
With more seats on offer, competition is expected to increase in the second phase of counselling.
